01 - Overview
The family-friendly B10 loop runs roughly 125 kilometres once around Lake Neusiedl - Austria’s largest steppe lake - through UNESCO World Heritage, a national park and two countries.
The Lake Neusiedl Cycle Path (B10) circles Central Europe’s largest steppe lake on mostly paved, almost flat paths. It follows the reed belt, threads the Neusiedler See-Seewinkel National Park with its salt pans and birdlife, passes wine towns such as Rust and Mörbisch, and crosses the border into the Hungarian part of the World Heritage area around Fertőrákos. With an ADFC five-star rating, a dense rental and charging network and good rail and ferry links, it is one of Austria’s most popular leisure rides. Only the hilly Hungarian section between Balf and Fertőrákos calls for a little effort.
